Men and their fragile egos: Kid Cudi says he was "played" by Cassie

Men with fragile egos, and unregulated emotions, are the worst. In fact, if you could paint a picture, this is exactly what Kid Cudi represents. Cudi felt he got played by Cassie, because she went back to her abuser. But their relationship ended, because she knew Diddy was unhinged, and she wanted to protect Cudi. If they continued to date, Cudi probably would not have been alive to testify, and tell his story.

He testifies yesterday, that Sean "Diddy" Combs broke into his Hollywood Hills home, and set his car on fire in 2011, after finding out he was dating his ex-girlfriend, Cassie.

The rapper confirmed his Porsche was set on fire, with a Molotov cocktail, identifying the damage in court photos. When his house got broken into, gifts were opened, his dog was locked in the bathroom, and the security cameras had been moved. He says, his dog became jittery and on edge, after the break-in.

When his car went up in flames, he wasn’t at home, and was notified by his dog’s babysitter. He later rushed home, to find his car damaged. After his Porsche was blown up, he met with Diddy at Soho House to settle things. Cudi said Diddy stood there “like a Marvel supervillain,” and told him, “You know that’s my girl.” Cudi said, he thought they had split up, and found it weird, how calm Diddy was, even offering him water twice.

Cudi asked Diddy, “What about my car?,” and Diddy replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Cudi testified that Cassie confided in him, about Diddy beating her up. When asked if he believed Diddy about the car, Cudi responded, “he was lying.”

Years later, Cudi says he ran into Diddy again at Soho House, and Diddy told him, “I’m just sorry for all that bullshit.” On cross examination, Diddy’s lawyer asked if Cassie ever said she was sexually abused, and Cudi said no, but admitted he was in love with her.

Cassie dated Cudi for less than a month before they broke up, due to concerns with safety. Cudi admits he and Diddy, were both played by Cassie during the testimony.

Diddy was extremely powerful, and was greatly feared by many. No one was safe. He was untouchable. So untouchable that he was beating her in front of other celebrities, who continued to stay silent. At the height of his power, it was hard for Cassie to walk away, especially if Diddy was threatening to release her sextapes, and violently intimidating everyone around her. So Cudi saying he felt he was played by Cassie, is really insensitive.
