It's been 16 years since Keri Hilson dissed Beyoncé and Ciara in the "Turnin' Me On (Remix)." She is also staging a music comeback, so talking about this again after almost two decades just seems like she is looking for publicity for her new album.
During her interview on The Breakfast Club, Keri says that producer Polow Da Don forced her to record the controversial remix. She says he threatened her with refusal to release her album.
And yet, she's working with Polow on her next album, the very person who she claims forced her to do something that ruined her career. Make it make sense. It will be interesting to hear what Polow thinks about being thrown under the bus. I don't think anyone forced her to do anything. Even with a slight nudge, it didn't take much nudging if she low-key wanted to do it. Keri was known to have an attitude back in the day and not someone you could easily push over. So if she didn't want to do it, she would not have done. She also said it was Polow and another female writer, who wrote the remix. Ester Dean admitted today that she is the writer.
Beyoncé is not thinking about Keri Hilson in 2025. She is too busy raising the kids that Keri told her to sit down and have. All while building an empire and selling out stadiums. Keri needs to take accountability for her own demise and move on.
