BOBBY BROWN UNGRATEFULLY SAYS BRITNEY SPEARS BUTCHERED HIS SONG "MY PREROGATIVE"

Any washed up artist should be grateful that one of the world's biggest pop stars on the planet during that time, was bringing spotlight to one of their oldest hits. You've lost all of your relevancy, and then, all of a sudden, your name is appearing in multiple music blogs, and some of the biggest publications, simply because, thee Britney Spears covered YOUR song.  But Bobby Brown felt the need to diss Britney for her 2004 cover of his signature hit, ‘My Prerogative.’

During his recent interview at ‘Club Shay Shay,’ Brown said,  “I don’t think [anyone has] really done justice to any of the samples that they have done to my songs.” He also tells host Shannon Sharpe, “Britney Spears butchered ‘My Prerogative’… Teddy Riley produced it. But that was a butchering. I couldn’t take it.”

Bobby is tripping. Britney's version was a bop, and saying she butchered the song is an absolute stretch. She just made the song more pop, and did it in HER style. She Britney-fied that song, and positively so.

I actually like her version better than Bobby's. He clearly allowed clearance for the sample, because Britney was huge back in the day, and he knew he was getting paid. Now that she is a shell of her former self, and has left the music industry for good, he now feels comfortable enough to say her version was trash.
