L'OFFICIEL’s latest global cover star Ciara is getting ready to release her new album "CiCi," this summer. A release date of July 11th is already set in stone, prior to dropping the music video for the album's lead single "Ecstasy".
In the cover story (which you can read here), Ciara reveals that she and Jazze Pha have worked together on a NEW song from her forthcoming album. Fans have been screaming for them to reunite for years now. It was always widely believed that her music with Jazze Pha was her best era, so of course this must feel like Christmas come early.
Sadly, Ci never really picked back up with the mainstream market following the success of "Goodies" and "The Evolution." She has clearly reached a point in her career where she can make music without the pressure of needing it to be commercially successful.
She continues to do music because she enjoys it. She's happy to release music on a whim, doing a few performances, and then retreating back to her happy life as a mother and a wife.
