A mega star like Beyoncé, has always been the blue print, and inspiration for many of today's R&B singers. That of course, included Keyshia Cole, who perhaps, was a little too proud to admit it, back in the day.
She certainly didn't gain any bonus points with the Beyhive, when she accused Beyoncé of being self righteous in her song "Bow Down," 12 years ago. But secretly, Keyshia Cole has always studied, and admired Beyoncé. Asked on who she musically loves more between Beyoncé and Alicia Keys, and Keyshia chose Beyoncé, during a recent visit to the ‘Drink Champs‘ podcast.
She recalls being told, by the wife of the late D’Wayne Wiggins, that Bey was focused, and showed zero interest in dating boys.
Focusing on music, and refraining from being in a relationship, was something she had to do, if she wanted to make it in the business. Studying Beyoncé's focus, and work ethic, helped her big time!
