Kamala Harris won't run for California Governor in 2026

Kamala Harris has decided to forgo the 2026 California gubernatorial race. Such a move has surprised many of her supporters given her strong historical ties to the state. These include, some of her roles as senator and attorney general.

In a statement, she says,  "For now, my leadership, and public service, will not be in elected office." It points to her hinting at a potential 2028 presidential run, aligning with a 2024 BBC analysis noting her favorability rose to 44% post-election.

It also suggests a strategic pivot to rebuild national support rather than a state-level focus. 

Everything this woman does is strategic. When she announces something, there is always some sort of hidden agenda. Donald Trump continues to make a right mockery of his presidency. That presidency is further tainted if he follows through on his consideration to pardon a woman beating, sadistic, loser like Diddy.
